RESUMO

The authors examined the Malagasy Lygaeoidea material of about 20 European collections, clarified the taxonomic position of Orbellis Distant, 1913 and described 7 new species (O. calcaratus Zmb & Kondorosy, sp. nov., O. dentifemoralis Zmb & Kondorosy, sp. nov., O. flavescens Zmb & Kondorosy, sp. nov., O. guilberti Zmb & Kondorosy, sp. nov., O. longirostris Zmb & Kondorosy, sp. nov., O. nigriapicalis Zmb & Kondorosy, sp. nov. and O. odonnellae Zmb & Kondorosy, sp. nov.) from Madagascar. Three species: Neolethaeus maculosus Slater and ODonnell, 1999, N. madagascariensis Slater and ODonnell, 1999 and N. polhemi Slater and ODonnell, 1999 are transferred to Orbellis. A key is given to separate the species.

RESUMO

Dimorphopterus blissoides (Baerensprung, 1859) (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Blissidae) is recorded for the first time from Slovakia and Iran. We provide also additional records of D. blissoides from Bulgaria, Croatia, Greece, Hungary and Romania, and review the distribution of the species. The species is currently spreading in the Pannonian Basin, reaching its northern distribution limit in southern Slovakia. We confirm its development on Phragmites australis, with preference to the loose outer leaf sheaths of the galls of Lipara lucens Meigen, 1830 (Diptera: Chloropidae), where the specimens develop during summer as well as hibernate during winter.

RESUMO

An overview of the representatives of the geocorine true bug genus, Germalus Stl, 1862, distributed in New Guinea is presented. The results include the description of Germalus cucullatus sp. nov., Germalus kontschani sp. nov., Germalus pappi sp. nov., Germalus pulchellus sp. nov. and Germalus sellatus sp. n. and the discussion of their relationship to other Germalus species in the adjacent regions. Key to New Guinean species and distribution maps are provided.

RESUMO

The species of Stilbocoris Bergroth, 1893 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Rhyparochromidae: Rhyparochrominae: Drymini) occurring in Madagascar and surrounding islands are reviewed. Four described and two undescribed species (S. scudderi sp. nov. and S. slateri sp. nov.) are recognized, the latter two apparently being endemic to Madagascar. The following new country records are provided: S. distinctus Scudder, 1962: Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, Central African Republic, Gabon, Cameroon and Madagascar; S. galla Linnavuori, 1978: Kenya, Tanzania and Madagascar; S. triangularis Linnavuori, 1978: Senegal, Tanzania and Madagascar. A key for the species occurring in the Malagasy area is presented.

RESUMO

The New Guinean genus Heissothignus Slater Brailovsky, 2006 (Hemiptera: Heteroptera: Meschiidae) possesses several morphological characters unique to family Meschiidae but not occurring in Heterogastridae, confirming its placement within the family Meschiidae. A key to the genera of the family Meschiidae is presented. The two species of the genus Meschia Distant, 1910 recorded from the Indian subcontinent are reviewed, and the following new synonymy is proposed: M. pugnax Distant, 1910 = M. quadrimaculata Distant, 1910, syn. nov. A revised key to the species of Meschia is provided. New country and state records are provided for M. pugnax (India: Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Meghalaya, Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu and Uttarakhand), Meschia barrowensis Malipatil, 2014 (Australia: New South Wales) and Meschia zoui Gao Malipatil, 2019 (Thailand).
